About the Chateau Marjosse Bordeaux Rouge
Crafted in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers region in Bordeaux, France, Château Marjosse Rouge is an exceptional, highly celebrated red wine owned and personally made by Pierre Lurton, the legendary managing director of First Growth estates Château Cheval Blanc and Château d'Yquem. Serving as Lurton’s private home and estate, Château Marjosse benefits from the exact same artisanal winemaking philosophy and obsessive attention to detail as Bordeaux's most prestigious blue-chip properties. The estate's 40-hectare red vineyard thrives on a prime clay-limestone plateau over asteria limestone bedrock, providing excellent natural drainage and mineral complexity. Heavily dominated by old-vine Merlot complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Malbec, the grapes are hand-harvested and vinified plot-by-plot in temperature-controlled cement vats. Matured partially in oak barrels and concrete tanks, Château Marjosse delivers an amazingly plush, vibrant, and sophisticated Bordeaux Rouge that stands out as one of the single greatest quality-to-price values in all of France.
Food Pairing: Prime dry-aged ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb, grilled burgers, pork tenderloin with berry reduction, wild mushroom pasta, and aged cheeses like Comté or Gouda.
