Chateau Les Carmes Haut Brion Pessac Leognan

Crafted in the famed Pessac-Léognan appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion is a sensational, highly coveted cult estate that has emerged as one of the most exciting and critically acclaimed properties in all of Bordeaux. Managed with visionary precision by director and winemaker Guillaume Pouthier, the historic 10-hectare vineyard is uniquely situated inside the city limits of Bordeaux, benefiting from a warm microclimate and deep gravelly soil over limestone subsoils. Exceptionally rare for the Left Bank, the vineyard is heavily planted to Cabernet Franc, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Pouthier’s revolutionary winemaking incorporates whole-cluster fermentation, infusion-style extraction, and aging in a combination of new French oak barrels, large oak foudres, and terracotta amphorae. Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion is globally celebrated for its intoxicating floral perfume, weightless concentration, and extraordinary silkiness.
