Chateau Langoa Barton Saint-Julien 3eme Grand Cru Classe

Crafted in the world-renowned Saint-Julien appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château Langoa Barton is a prestigious 3ème Grand Cru Classé estate with a rich, unbroken lineage of family ownership. Purchased in 1821 by Hugh Barton, the property holds the remarkable distinction of remaining in the hands of the same family for over two centuries, today managed alongside sister property Château Léoville Barton by the Barton and Sartorius families. The estate’s 20-hectare vineyard thrives on deep Garonne gravel beds over clay subsoils overlooking the Gironde estuary, providing ideal drainage and thermal regulation. Heavily dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon supported by Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the vines yield fruit defined by classic structure, energetic acidity, and refined aromatic intensity. Hand-harvested and fermented in traditional thermoregulated wooden vats, the wine matures for 16 to 18 months in fine French oak barrels (60% new). Château Langoa Barton is globally celebrated as a quintessential, timeless expression of Saint-Julien—balancing power, elegance, and multi-decade cellaring capacity.
