About the Chateau La Vieille Cure Fronsac
Crafted in the historic Fronsac appellation on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château La Vieille Cure is a highly celebrated estate acclaimed by critics and connoisseurs alike as one of the single greatest quality-to-price ratios in all of Bordeaux. Perched on high-elevation clay-limestone slopes overlooking the River Isle, the property benefits from optimal sun exposure, natural drainage, and deep limestone root penetration. Sourced from 50-year-old vines, the blend is heavily dominated by Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. Meticulously managed with sustainable viticulture and low yields, the fruit undergoes parcel-by-parcel vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats before aging for 14 to 18 months in fine French oak barrels (approximately 30-40% new). Château La Vieille Cure delivers a plush, opulent, and cellar-worthy Right Bank expression that far outclasses its accessible price point.
Food Pairing: Prime dry-aged ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, pork tenderloin with berry reduction, wild mushroom ragù, and aged hard cheeses like Comté or Gouda.
