Chateau La Conseillante Pomerol

Crafted on the famous Pomerol plateau on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château La Conseillante is an iconic, highly coveted blue-chip estate celebrated for producing some of the most elegant, aromatic, and harmonious wines in the appellation. Family-owned by the Nicolas family since 1871, the property’s distinctive violet-bordered label and bright purple capsule honor the signature floral perfume that defines its benchmark terroir. Situated on a prime 12-hectare vineyard bordering Château L'Évangile, Château Cheval Blanc, and Pétrus, the estate benefits from a unique mix of gray clay and sandy gravel soils over iron-rich clay (crasse de fer). Dominated by old-vine Merlot complemented by a substantial proportion of Cabernet Franc, the vines yield fruit of exquisite balance and aromatic finesse. Managed with precision stewardship by technical director Marielle Cazaux, the grapes undergo plot-by-plot vinification in temperature-controlled concrete vats before aging for 18 months in fine French oak barrels (70% new). Château La Conseillante is globally revered for its seamless silkiness, soaring violet perfume, and multi-decade cellaring capacity.
