Chateau Figeac Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classe A

Crafted in the famed Saint-Émilion appellation on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château Figeac Premier Grand Cru Classé A is an iconic, world-renowned blue-chip estate that achieved Bordeaux's highest pinnacle of recognition with its historical promotion to Premier Grand Cru Classé "A". Family-owned by the Manoncourt family for generations, Figeac possesses one of the most distinctive and unique terroirs in all of Bordeaux. Unlike most Right Bank estates dominated heavily by Merlot, Figeac’s prime 54-hectare vineyard features three distinct outcroppings of deep, quartz-rich Günzian gravel over clay. This unique soil composition allows Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc to thrive alongside Merlot, giving Figeac its legendary "Médocain" soul on the Right Bank. Aged for 15 to 18 months in 100% new French oak barrels, Château Figeac is globally celebrated for its aristocratic elegance, aromatic complexity, seamless tannic polish, and multi-decade cellaring potential.

Food Pairing: Prime dry-aged ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, venison tenderloin, duck breast with cherry reduction, truffled mushroom risotto, and fine aged French cheeses like Comté or Saint-Nectaire.
