About the Chateau Feytit-Clinet Pomerol
Crafted in the famed Pomerol appellation on the Right Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château Feytit-Clinet is an exceptional, highly acclaimed boutique estate situated between legendary neighbors Château Clinet and Château Latour à Pomerol. Passionately managed by winemaker Jérémy Chasseuil, the estate’s prime 6.5-hectare vineyard sits on gravelly clay soils mixed with iron-rich subsoils (crasse de fer). Planted predominantly with old-vine Merlot alongside structured Cabernet Franc, the vines benefit from meticulous organic farming practices and low yields. The fruit is hand-harvested with multi-stage sorting and fermented in temperature-controlled concrete and stainless steel tanks before maturing for 16 to 18 months in fine French oak barrels (70–80% new). Unfined and unfiltered, Château Feytit-Clinet is celebrated for its dramatic fruit concentration, hedonistic aromatics, and velvety structural elegance.
Food Pairing: Prime dry-aged ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, venison tenderloin, truffled mushroom risotto, and fine aged French cheeses like Comté or Saint-Nectaire.
