About the Chateau Cantenac-Brown Margaux 3eme Grand Cru Classe
Crafted in the famed Margaux appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château Cantenac Brown 3ème Grand Cru Classé is a historic, highly esteemed estate celebrated for producing wines of remarkable elegance, structural power, and aromatic finesse. Founded in the early 19th century by Scottish artist John Lewis Brown, the property is famous for its distinctive Tudor-style mansion and its world-class terroir on the Cantenac plateau. Sourced from 60 hectares of deep, well-draining Garonne gravel terraces, the vines benefit from ideal warmth retention and drainage, forcing roots deep into the subsoil. Dominated by old-vine Cabernet Sauvignon and supported by supple Merlot and aromatic Cabernet Franc, the grapes undergo meticulous parcel-by-parcel vinification. Aged for 12 to 15 months in fine French oak barrels (60% new), this bottling delivers the quintessential Margaux harmony of rich dark fruit, floral scent, and velvety tannic architecture.
Food Pairing: Prime dry-aged ribeye steak, roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, venison with cherry reduction, wild mushroom risotto, and fine aged cheeses like Comté or Gouda.
