Chateau Beychevelle Saint-Julien 4eme Grand Cru Classe

Crafted in the world-renowned Saint-Julien appellation on the Left Bank of Bordeaux, France, Château Beychevelle is a prestigious 4ème Grand Cru Classé estate steeped in rich nautical history and aristocratic tradition. Often referred to as the "Versailles of the Médoc," the estate derives its name from the French phrase baisse-voile ("lower the sails"), an homage to the seafaring tradition where passing ships would lower their sails in respect to the First Grand Admiral of France, the Duke of Épernon. Situated along the banks of the Gironde estuary, the estate's prime 90-hectare vineyards thrive on deep, Garonne gravel terraces that provide outstanding natural drainage and heat retention. Dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, complemented by Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, the vines yield fruit of exceptional purity, elegance, and balance. Aged for 18 months in French oak barrels (50% new), Château Beychevelle is globally celebrated for its seductive harmony, supple tannic structure, and age-worthy grace.
