Carus' Chianti Classico Gran Selezione "Gaudio" is a powerful, complex red wine made from Sangiovese, with a small addition of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is aged in French oak barrels for 30 months and then further refined in the bottle. The wine is characterized by intense ruby red color with purple reflections, a complex bouquet with fruity notes of ripe cherry and spicy nuances of cocoa, and a fresh, well-structured palate with a blackberry aftertaste.
