Bache-Gabrielsen BGW Chestnut Cask French Single Malt Whisky is an innovative French single malt crafted from French barley and matured through an unusual combination of Cognac and chestnut casks. Initially aged in oak casks previously used for Cognac, the whisky is subsequently refined in new chestnut casks and older chestnut casks that formerly held Cognac. Bottled at 43% ABV, this distinctive maturation creates a fresh yet complex profile filled with roasted nuts, chestnut, dried fruit, leather, yellow fruit, and warming spice.
