About the Checkmate Queen Taken Chardonnay 2022
A complex and textural Chardonnay with aromas of guava, Asian pear and rosewater. The palate develops layers of ripe stone fruit, pear and green tea with subtle ginger, rosemary and dried-herb notes. Creamy texture is balanced by freshness and minerality, leading to a long, savoury finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with lobster, scallops, roast chicken, grilled halibut, pork tenderloin, mushroom risotto, or aged cheeses.
