CheckMate 'Attack' Chardonnay 2021 is a highly refined, single-varietal white wine crafted by CheckMate Artisanal Winery in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Sourced from a blend of two distinguished sites—the Jagged Rock Vineyard on the Black Sage Bench and the Border Vista Vineyard on the Osoyoos East Bench—this wine is fermented and aged exclusively in large French oak foudres. In the glass, it presents a bright straw-gold color. The nose offers an inviting bouquet of freshly sliced peach, honeydew melon, tangerine, and toasted fennel seeds with an alluring saline, seaside undertone. On the palate, it is structured, fresh, and deeply complex, delivering vibrant flavors of citrus, pear, and subtle licorice underpinned by a mouthwatering seawater minerality and exceptional finesse.
