CheckMate 'Attack' Chardonnay 2019

CheckMate 'Attack' Chardonnay 2019 is an exceptional, highly expressive single-varietal white wine crafted by CheckMate Artisanal Winery in British Columbia's Okanagan Valley. Sourced from fruit harvested in the Jagged Rock Vineyard (67%) on the Black Sage Bench and the Border Vista Vineyard (33%), this wine was aged for 16 months in large oak foudres. In the glass, it presents a brilliant straw-gold color. The complex nose displays alluring aromas of citrus, white peach, sea salt minerality, cold tea, and subtle pie crust spice. On the palate, it is full-bodied and seamlessly polished, delivering layered flavors of Asian pear, lychee, mandarin, and honey, underpinned by vibrant natural acidity and a long, mouthwatering finish.
