About the Chateau Verdignan 2005
Château Verdignan is a mature Haut-Médoc Bordeaux offering aromas of blackcurrant, dried plum, cedar, tobacco, leather, and earthy spice lead to a smooth, medium-bodied palate with refined tannins and a long, savory finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, grilled steak, braised beef, duck confit, mushroom dishes, aged Comté, or herb-roasted vegetables.

Dark in color, with lots of blackberry, mineral, licorice and a hint of toasty oak. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a long, caressing finish. Balanced and generous, with lots of fruit underneath. Best after 2011. 21,665 cases made.
