About the Chateau Suau 2017
Château Suau is a well-crafted Bordeaux from the Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, offering aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, plum, cedar, and sweet spice. The palate is medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, balanced acidity, and a smooth, fruit-driven finish with subtle oak influence.
Food Pairing: Pair with grilled steak, roast lamb, duck confit, braised beef, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses, or hearty stews.
96 Points - James Suckling
Honey, light maple and dried apricot on the nose. Toffee and some coconut, too. Full-bodied, very sweet and layered. Insane finish. Electric acidity. Contrastive. Best wine ever from here. Drink or hold.
90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Soft, already open and generous, this is a lightly textured and crisp wine. It has a bright character along with some tangy spice and pepper flavors. Drink from 2022.
90 Points - Wine Spectator
Creamed yellow plum and pineapple flavors are lush and flattering in feel, with acacia, coconut and heather notes coating the finish. A slightly headier style of Barsac. Drink now through 2030. 833 cases made.
