Chateau St. Jean Cinq Cepages 2022 is the flagship Bordeaux-style blend from this historic Sonoma County estate. The name translates to "five varieties," a tribute to the classic grapes used in the blend: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec, and Petit Verdot. This 2022 vintage is sourced from premier vineyards across Sonoma County, including notable sites in Knights Valley and Alexander Valley. The wine was aged for 20 months in French oak barrels to polish its structure.
On the nose, it offers an opulent bouquet of dark plum, blackberry liqueur, and cassis, layered with floral notes of lavender. The palate is full-bodied and plush, showcasing rich flavours of black cherry, dark chocolate, and graphite. Its foundation is defined by velvety tannins and a vibrant acidity, leading to a long, sophisticated finish with nuances of cocoa and toasted cedar.

Blended from some of Foley group’s best barrels using grapes from all around Sonoma County. Savory, floral and lavender aromas, with graphite, dark chocolate and creme de cassis flavors that expand on the palate and linger on the finish. 73% cabernet sauvignon, plus merlot, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot. Sustainable. Drinkable now, but best from 2029.
