About the Chateau Puybarbe Cotes De Bourg 2019 750ml
Carefully aged in barrels for over a year and then in bottle for 20 months, this wine has everything to shine. And it succeeds, combining richness, freshness and balance. A magnificent wine in which all the elements (ripeness, tannic structure and roundness) are in unison.
A great match for grilled meats or roast poultry.
91 Points - Decanter Warm and structured with evident oak, but also fully-flavoured fruit. Lots to like here, with vanilla, baking spice, blackberry and dark plum. A terrific effort. 76% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Malbec.
91 Points - Wine Enthusiast This estate wine is made from a selection of fruit. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, it has a dense texture, layers of dark tannins and solid black-fruit flavors. The wine needs aging and will be ready from 2023.
