About the Chateau Pichon Baron 2005
Chateau Pichon Baron is a powerful Pauillac red offering concentrated blackcurrant, graphite, and cedar notes. Full-bodied with structured tannins and firm acidity, it delivers depth, precision, and a long, mineral-driven finish. A classic Left Bank wine known for its aging potential and refined balance.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with steak, lamb, grilled meats, game, and aged hard cheeses.
94 Points - Wine Spectator
Offers crushed currant and blackberry on the nose, turning to tar and licorice. Full-bodied, with a solid core of ripe fruit and seamless tannins. Goes on and on. Very, very beautiful. A cross between the 2000 and fabulous 2003. Best after 2013.
