About the Chateau Pedesclaux 2018
A refined Pauillac with aromas of cassis, blackberry, cedar, graphite, violet, and cigar box. Polished tannins and vibrant acidity frame concentrated dark fruit, creating an elegant, structured palate with exceptional balance, depth, and a remarkably persistent finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with beef Wellington, roast lamb, duck breast, venison, truffle dishes, aged Comte, or porcini mushroom risotto.
95 Points - James Suckling
Aromas of black currants, lavender, gravel, dried leaves, spice box and bitter chocolate introduce a full-bodied wine with firm, beautifully integrated tannins. Creamy and succulent, it delivers a solid core of ripe fruit that gains depth across the palate, finishing long, polished and caressing. Best enjoyed from 2025 onward.
91 Points - Wine Spectator
Ripe and juicy in style, offering expressive flavors of cassis and plum paste layered with generous notes of red and black licorice. A delicate floral lift carries through the finish, adding freshness and charm. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Drink now through 2030. 12,500 cases made.
