Bernard Magrez Château Pape Clément Blanc 2022 is an incredibly sophisticated, luxurious, and highly concentrated white Bordeaux. Sourced from Pyrenean clay-gravel soils within the historic Pessac-Léognan appellation, this Grand Vin is crafted from a meticulously sorted, whole-cluster pressed blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon, and a touch of Muscadelle. It is slowly fermented and patiently aged in French oak barrels and casks on fine lees with regular stirring to build rich texture. In the glass, it reveals a brilliant golden color with light greenish reflections. The nose is highly expressive and perfumed, offering elegant aromas of grapefruit, lemon curd, and white peach, layered with fresh acacia flowers, wild honey, and toasted brioche. On the palate, this full-bodied white is wonderfully fleshy and satiny. It marries an opulent, creamy mouthfeel with a striking, laser-like line of saline acidity and fine mineral phenolics, finishing incredibly long with lingering notes of lemon zest, sweet spices, and flint.
