Château Montus Madiran 2016 is a classic, deeply concentrated red wine crafted by Alain Brumont, the pioneer who put Madiran on the map. Sourced from steep slopes covered in rounded pebbles over brown and orange clay, this robust blend is dominated by Tannat. The complex nose reveals expressive aromas of wild blackberries, ripe black cherries, and sweet spices, layered with subtle undertones of licorice, menthol, and woody vanilla. On the palate, the wine is powerful and fleshy, showing a concentrated core of dark fruits, cacao, and fine-grained, powdery tannins that offer remarkable structure and lead to a long, beautifully balanced, and fresh finish.
