About the Chateau Meyney 2018
A distinguished Saint-Estephe with aromas of cassis, blackberry, graphite, cedar, violet, and subtle tobacco. Powerful yet refined, its firm tannins and vibrant freshness support concentrated dark fruit, delivering remarkable depth, balance, and an exceptionally long finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef Wellington, duck breast, aged Comte, mushroom dishes, or braised beef.
95 Points - James Suckling
A beautifully expressive wine with aromas of blueberry, black currant, clove, dark chocolate, praline and gravel. Full-bodied and impressively structured, it is supported by firm, fine-grained tannins that give the palate outstanding focus, depth and layered complexity. A fantastic effort with excellent aging potential. Best from 2025 onward.
94 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Situated between two classed growth estates, this property produces a richly structured wine with vineyards that slope down toward the Gironde estuary. Powered by firm tannins, concentrated black fruit and vibrant youthful acidity, it is built for long-term aging and will require patience before reaching its full potential. Best enjoyed from 2027 onward.
