Earthy and complex, this deeply concentrated wine offers bold black-cherry and preserved-strawberry flavors against a backdrop of mushroom, bramble and spice. It's a voluptuous red with gentle acidity and smooth, velvety tannins. The finish is savory and long. Delicious already it should improve through 2025 and hold longer.

This delivers a beautiful swath of raspberry puree, cassis, warm plum and boysenberry reduction flavors, inlaid with light anise and apple wood accents, all threaded with an echo of charcoal that imparts length and range to match the opulence. Hard to resist now, but cellar this for a bit more nuance. Best from 2020 through 2035. 300 cases made, 100 cases imported.
