Château Batailley Lions de Batailley 2022

The Château Batailley Lions de Batailley 2022 is the second wine of the esteemed 5th Growth estate in Pauillac. Crafted from younger vines and plots not intended for the Grand Vin, this vintage is noted for its approachability and refined texture while maintaining the classic, structured character of the estate. The 2022 season was exceptionally warm, resulting in a wine with intense black fruit concentration, fine-grained tannins, and a spicy finish.

Blackberry, blueberry, blackcurrant and mint aromas follow through to a medium body with fine tannins and a refined and pretty finish. It's tight now, but shows a lovely texture. 72% cabernet sauvignon, 24% merlot, 2% cabernet franc and 2% petit verdot.
