About the Chateau Lalande-Borie 2014
Château Lalande-Borie Saint-Julien is a refined Left Bank Bordeaux with inviting aromas of blackcurrant, black cherry, cedar, graphite, violet, tobacco, and subtle spice. Smooth tannins, fresh acidity, and balanced oak deliver a medium to full-bodied palate with excellent structure, elegance, and approachable aging potential.
Food Pairing: Pair with grilled ribeye, roast lamb, duck breast, beef bourguignon, mushroom risotto, aged Comté, or herb-roasted vegetables.
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast
The wine is dense with great fruit and accompanying structure. With its dark ripe berry fruits and full tannins, the wine is powerful although with great elegance. It is stylish, full of complexity ready to age well. Drink from 2024.
90 Points - James Suckling
Lots of blackberry, nut and chocolate character. Some wet earth, too. Medium- to full-bodied, velvety tannins and a light, herbal finish. Drink in 2018.
