About the Chateau La Lagune 2015
Château La Lagune is an elegant Third Growth Haut-Médoc with expressive aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, violet, cedar, graphite, tobacco, and refined oak spice. Silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and exceptional precision create a beautifully balanced palate with remarkable finesse, complexity, and outstanding aging potential.
Food Pairing: Pair with beef Wellington, roast lamb, duck breast, venison, mushroom risotto, aged Comté, or truffle-infused dishes.
92 Points - Vinous
The 2015 La Lagune has never really shown as well as it might. However, this bottle, poured blind, suggests that this has suddenly "awoken". It has a well-defined, estuarine-tinged bouquet with blackberry, wild hedgerow and veins of pressed violet. The oak is nicely integrated. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh, sapid and lightly spiced, with fine tannins and a lingering, classy finish.
