About the Chateau Giscours 2021
A prestigious Third Growth Margaux, Château Giscours reveals refined aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, violet, cedar, graphite, tobacco, and subtle baking spice. Richly structured yet beautifully elegant, it delivers silky tannins, vibrant freshness, remarkable precision, and a long, graceful finish with exceptional aging potential.
Food Pairing: Pair with beef Wellington, roast lamb, duck breast, venison, mushroom risotto, truffle potatoes, aged Comté, or braised short ribs.
Wine Enthusiast
Dark spice aromas are here, along with rich tannins and structure, just hinting at the wood aging. The wine, from the south of the appellation, has a rich effect, while also having the Margaux elegance. It is beautifully finished.
James Suckling
A lighter and more fluid vintage that shows early appeal, and the wine excels in freshness and vibrancy. This is already showing early appeal with medium body, fresh fine tannins and a long, juicy finish. Lighter vintage, but this is really well made, crunchy, elegant and delicate. Lovely now, but it should hold and even develop well in the next six to seven years thanks to the balance it shows. 65% cabernet sauvignon, 32% merlot and 3% petit verdot.
