About the Chateau Fontenil Bordeaux 2016
The 2016 Château Fontenil is a beautifully structured Fronsac from one of the appellation's benchmark estates, offering aromas of blackberry, black cherry, plum, cedar, graphite, cocoa, and baking spices. Polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and concentrated fruit deliver a rich, elegant palate with exceptional balance and long aging potential.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef bourguignon, duck breast, mushroom risotto, aged Gouda, or herb-roasted root vegetables.
93 Points - James Suckling
Extremely perfumed and bright with raspberry, currant and dried-flower character. Full-bodied, yet soft and velvety with a flavorful finish. Already gorgeous. Better from 2022.
