About the Chateau Ferriere 2014
A historic Third Growth Margaux, Château Ferrière is celebrated for its elegance, purity, and biodynamic viticulture. It reveals aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, black cherry, violet, cedar, graphite, tobacco, and subtle baking spice. Silky yet beautifully structured, it delivers refined tannins, vibrant freshness, remarkable precision, and a long, graceful finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with beef Wellington, grilled ribeye, roast lamb, duck breast, venison, mushroom risotto, aged Comté, braised short ribs, or roasted root vegetables.
94 Points - James Suckling
The 2014 vintage challenges the notion that Margaux wines must always be delicate. Intense aromas of red currant and subtle savory notes lead to a tightly structured, firmly built palate with impressive power and outstanding aging potential. Produced from biodynamically grown grapes, this wine is best enjoyed from 2020 onward.
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Built for the long term, the 2014 develops slowly with a concentrated, solid structure. Dense tannins frame ripe black currant fruit, reflecting the high proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend. A serious, age-worthy Margaux that is best enjoyed from 2024 onward.
