About the Chateau Du Val D'Or 2020
Château du Val d'Or is a refined Saint-Émilion Grand Cru with aromas of black plum, blackcurrant, cherry, toasted oak, and subtle spice. Its round, expressive palate combines ripe Merlot fruit, silky tannins, and fresh acidity, leading to a balanced, elegant finish with excellent aging potential.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, grilled ribeye, duck confit, beef bourguignon, mushroom dishes, aged Comté, or truffle-infused cheeses.
91 Points - James Suckling
A rich, creamy and fruity red with crushed strawberries, raspberries, flowers and roasted nuts. Medium-bodied with chewy tannins and crisp acidity. No sulfites added. Drinkable now, but better in a year or two.
