Chateau Du Tertre 2023

Château Du Tertre 2023 is an exceptionally refined, elegant red wine from the historic Fifth Growth estate in the Margaux appellation. Featuring an increased proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon from newly maturing replanted plots, it reveals an inviting nose of dark berries, wild cassis, black tea, violet, and subtle cedar spice. On the palate, it exhibits a supple, medium-bodied structure with velvety, powdery tannins, vibrant acidity, and a seamless finish marked by notes of licorice, dark fruit, and graphite minerality.

Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted rack of lamb, braised beef short ribs, grilled duck breast, venison, wild mushroom risotto, and aged hard cheeses.

Lovely fruit, with blackberry, dark chocolate, walnut and meat aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied with a solid core of fruit, creamy tannins and just a hint of chocolate. 70% cabernet sauvignon, 15% merlot, 11% cabernet franc and 4% petit verdot. Needs three or four years of bottle age. Drink after 2028.
