About the Chateau Du Glana 2016
Chateau Du Glana 2016 is a Saint-Julien red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine combines ripe black fruit with cedar, spice, and mineral notes, supported by structured tannins and balanced freshness. Its polished texture and persistent finish reflect the classic character of this Bordeaux appellation.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with grilled ribeye, herb-crusted lamb rack, braised beef cheeks, or roast duck.
93 Points - James Suckling
Aromas of currants, blueberries and fresh herbs follow through to a medium to full body, firm and silky tannins and a flavorful finish. Very pretty balance and finesse. Drink in 2021.
91 Points - Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2016 du Glana is medium to deep garnet-purple in color and gives up notes of crushed blackberries, black cherries and blackcurrants with touches of bay leaves, cedar chest and pencil lead. Medium-bodied, the palate has a firm, chewy frame and plenty of muscular fruit, finishing savory.
