About the Chateau Du Domaine De L'Eglise 2020
The 2020 Château du Domaine de l'Église is a powerful and elegant Pomerol with aromas of ripe black cherry, blackberry, plum, cocoa, cedar, and sweet baking spices. Velvety tannins, remarkable freshness, and concentrated Merlot fruit create a refined palate with exceptional depth and a long, silky finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with beef tenderloin, roast duck, lamb shanks, braised short ribs, wild mushroom risotto, aged Gouda, or Comté cheese.
97 Points - James Suckling
Black berries and cherries with flowers and orange peel. Crushed stone. Some graphite. Iron. Flint stone. It’s medium- to full-bodied. Firm and polished tannins. Very typical and classic. Best ever? 96% Merlot and 4% Cabernet Franc. Needs four or five years to come around. Try after 2028.
