Moulin d'Issan 2019

Moulin d'Issan 2019 is an expressive, approachable, and fruit-forward red wine produced by the famed Third Growth estate Château d'Issan. Sourced from vineyard plots situated outside the Margaux boundary on clay-limestone soils near the Gironde estuary, this Merlot-dominant cuvée undergoes 14 months of aging in French oak barrels (25% new). It displays a vibrant ruby color and opens with charming aromatics of fresh red plum, dark cherry preserves, and violet flowers, woven with underlying notes of tobacco spice, earth, and light oak. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied and supple, offering a juicy mid-palate of crunchy berry fruits held together by fine, velvety tannins and a clean, fresh, balanced finish.
