About the Chateau D'Aiguilhe 2018
A polished Bordeaux showcasing ripe black cherry, cassis, plum, graphite, and subtle baking spice. Silky tannins and fresh acidity create a balanced palate with mineral complexity and a long, elegant finish that reflects its exceptional Castillon terroir.
Food Pairing: Pair with grilled ribeye, roasted lamb, duck confit, mushroom risotto, aged Comte, charcuterie, or herb-roasted root vegetables.
93 Points - James Suckling
The purity of fruit is especially attractive, with vibrant aromas and flavors of blue fruits, blackberries and delicate floral notes. Medium-bodied, the wine is supported by fine tannins and a solid core of fruit, leading to a long, polished and appealing finish. Drink from 2022 onward.
92 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Owned by the same family as Château Canon-la-Gaffelière in Saint-Émilion, this estate has produced a richly structured wine with powerful tannins wrapped in dense black plum fruit. Concentrated and well-balanced, it combines impressive depth with excellent aging potential. Drink from 2023 onward.
