Château Crusquet de Lagarcie is an elegant, expressive, and beautifully structured red wine from an under-valued right-bank appellation. Sourced from a historic 4-hectare family estate managed by six generations of the de Lagarcie family, the low-yielding vines are ideally situated on superb terroir overlooking the Gironde estuary. Benefiting from cooling sea breezes, a favorable southern exposure, and distinct diurnal temperature fluctuations, the fruit achieves exceptional ripeness and aromatic clarity. In the glass, it presents a deep dark ruby color. The nose opens with an inviting bouquet of red cherries, juicy blackcurrants, and black plums, harmoniously woven with delicate layers of exotic spices, tobacco, pepper, and cedar. On the palate, the wine is medium-bodied, savory, and classic, showing seamless fluid coherence where its core of dense, jammy black fruits is supported by well-integrated, soft tannins and a refreshing line of mineral-driven acidity.
