About the Chateau Coufran Haut Medoc 2010
Chateau Coufran Haut Medoc is a distinguished Cru Bourgeois Superieur renowned for its Merlot-dominant style, uncommon on Bordeaux's Left Bank. Aromas of black cherry, plum, cassis, cedar, tobacco, graphite, and baking spice unfold into a rich, velvety palate with polished tannins, balanced freshness, and excellent aging potential.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, grilled ribeye, braised beef, duck confit, mushroom dishes, or aged Comte for a classic Haut Medoc experience.
88 Points - James Suckling
Aromas of blueberries and delicate floral notes lead into a medium- to full-bodied palate with firm, chewy tannins. The wine shows an austere, structured character and finishes a little short, though it has the balance to improve with additional bottle age. Best from 2015.
