Chateau Cheval Blanc 2013

Château Cheval Blanc is one of Bordeaux's most iconic wines, celebrated for its elegance, precision, and longevity. Aromas of blackberry, black cherry, violet, graphite, cedar, and fine spice lead to a silky, layered palate with remarkable freshness, refined tannins, and an exceptionally long finish.

Food Pairing: Pair with beef Wellington, roast lamb, duck breast, venison, truffle dishes, or aged hard cheeses for an unforgettable dining experience.

95 Points - Wine Enthusiast

Smoky aromas and layers of tannin and fruit give this wine great complexity. It is smooth, juicy and fresh while also having perfumed tannins and an elegant, lightly mineral structure from the Cabernet Franc. The wine's cherries and red berries are still encased in the structure, allowing it to develop slowly. Drink from 2024.

93 Points - Wine Spectator

Restrained at first, with a subtle tobacco leaf hint, this expands steadily and forcefully in the glass, revealing layers of warmed fig, macerated black currant and blackberry coulis fruit woven with notes of ganache, warm gravel and freshly brewed black tea. There's power in reserve, but this remains elegant overall. A great effort. Best from 2018 through 2028. 1,367 cases made.

93 Points - James Suckling

Mellow and quite developed, this has plenty of wild-berry fruit, but also a touch of blood orange. Medium-bodied and rather supple, but not very strong on the mid-palate, this is a competent example of the vintage. Better at the moderately dry and harmonious finish. Drink or hold.
