About the Chateau Bernadotte 2016
A beautifully balanced Haut-Médoc with aromas of cassis, blackberry, cedar, violet, graphite, and subtle spice. Fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, and elegant structure create a refined Left Bank Bordeaux with excellent depth and aging potential.
Food Pairing: Pair with roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef tenderloin, duck breast, aged Gruyère, Comté, or wild mushroom dishes.
93 Points - James Suckling
This has aromas of boysenberries and dark berries with a wealth of bracken and gently tarry aromas, too. The palate has a fresh, fleshy and quite concentrated feel with fine tannins that hold the finish long. A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot. Try from 2023.
91 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This estate, with its historic connections with the Swedish royal family, is now performing well. This latest vintage, with its rich tannins and dense flavors, has concentration as well as attractive black-fruit lusciousness. Drink this well-balanced wine from 2023.
