About the Chateau Bellevue 2010
A beautifully mature Saint-Émilion Grand Cru with aromas of blackberry, ripe plum, cedar, graphite, dried herbs, and forest floor. Silky tannins, fresh acidity, and layered complexity create an elegant Bordeaux with a long, refined finish.
Food Pairing: Pair with beef tenderloin, roast lamb, duck breast, venison, aged Comté, truffle dishes, or wild mushroom risotto.
Jeb Dunnuck
An absolutely brilliant Saint-Emilion, the 2000 Château Bellevue is a drop-dead gorgeous wine with ripe darker fruits, truffly earth, and spice on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied on the palate, with a ripe, round, seamless mouthfeel, polished tannins, and no hard edges. This is just a straight-up gem of a wine that I wish I had in my cellar, and what an overachiever this is, up with the crème de la crème of this remarkable vintage.
