Expert tasting note: (2009 vintage) "Deep, dark, ruby-red color, almost opaque, holding color well to the rim. Slightly weedy classic claret aromas with cassis & redcurrant fruit overlaid by cedar & graphite. The mid-weight palate has some red-fruit, balanced alcohol & acidity. Fine structure & good length, with plummy fruit opening up on the finish." - 11/13 DCAMW
