All the hundreds apply here: whole bunches, new wood and the age of the parcel. Built to last, this is a brilliant wine from Nicolas Groffier, which soars above the vintage conditions. It's subtle, complex and refined, with some of the latent power of the grand cru. Dense raspberry and black cherry fruit on the palate lead to a stylish, lingering finish. 

The wine shows a deep purple color and offers primarily red fruit aromas. On the palate, deep red fruit flavors are mirrored, complemented by a classically smooth texture and a long finish with a subtle hint of salinity.

Perfumed and spicy, this red exudes floral, sandalwood, wild strawberry, currant and sweet spice notes accented by menthol. Sleek and solidly built, with an ethereal component and lingering finish. Elegant overall, yet this has the intensity and sustainability to develop over time. Best from 2028 through 2043.
