Fine creamy nose with meringue, lemon curd and brioche to the guava and green gooseberries. Zesty and medium-bodied on the palate with bright acidity and a zippy, lengthy finish. 65% sauvignon and 35% semillon. Drink now or hold.

The 2021 Lespault-Martillac Blanc is a powerful dry white with an almost phenolic feel. Lemon peel, sage, mint and yellow flowers lend notable complexity. There is a bit of firmness here, but all the elements are nicely balanced. The 2021 is more muscle than finesse, but it works. –Antonio Galloni
