About the Chateau Haut-Brion 2021 750ml
Château Haut-Brion is the oldest of Bordeaux’s five first growths, and one of the most famous wines in the world. Located in Pessac-Léognan, south of the city of Bordeaux, the château is rather far removed from its counterparts, all of which are found in the Médoc. The red wines of Château Haut-Brion have a captivatingly mineral, smoky quality that sets them apart from the other First Growths. Due to the predominance of Merlot, the wines remain are considered accessible – even charming at times – and please many palates. They are not to be underestimated, however, as the best vintages can age potentially 30 years.
98 Points - Wine Enthusiast
The solid and serious structure of this wine is reflected in the wood aromas and spice from wood aging. It is dense, packed with tannins at the core, and its concentration gives a dry character to the wine. Ready to drink from 2028.
