Chateau d'Aiguilhe 2020

Château d'Aiguilhe 2020 is an expressive, fruit-forward, and mineral-driven red wine from the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation, owned and managed by Stephan von Neipperg. Sourced from clay-limestone soils on a high plateau on Bordeaux's Right Bank, this blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc undergoes vinification in oak vats and concrete tanks. It displays an intense ruby-purple hue with inviting aromas of black raspberry, juicy plum, cassis, and violets, balanced by subtle notes of cocoa, tobacco leaf, and crushed limestone. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied and supple, offering a ripe berry core anchored by fine-grained tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, mineral-tinged finish.

Food Pairing: Pairs wonderfully with roasted rack of lamb, braised short ribs, duck breast, grilled pork chops, wild mushroom risotto, or aged Comté cheese.
