About the Chateau Chasse Spleen Moulis-en-Medoc 2019
Chateau Chasse Spleen 2019 is a classic Moulis-en-Medoc showcasing refined blackcurrant, plum, cedar, and subtle spice with polished tannins and vibrant freshness. Elegantly structured and balanced, it delivers impressive depth and a long, persistent finish with excellent ageing potential.
Food Pairing: Pairs best with roast lamb, beef tenderloin, duck breast, venison, wild mushrooms, and aged Comte cheese.
92 Points - James Suckling
Aromas of cassis, black cherries, licorice, dried tobacco and wet earth. Some leafy character, too. Medium-bodied with chewy tannins and vibrant, juicy fruit character. Firm and compact with hints of crushed stones in the finish. A little timid at the end. 52% cabernet sauvignon, 40% merlot, 6% petit verdot and 2% cabernet franc. Drink after 2024.
