About the Chateau Carbonnieux Blanc 2019
Château Carbonnieux Blanc 2019 is an exceptionally refined, elegant dry white Grand Cru Classé de Graves from Pessac-Léognan. Sourced from deep gravel and clay-limestone soils, this vintage showcases brilliant aromatics of white peach, lemon blossom, pink grapefruit, and green apple, beautifully complemented by subtle brioche, beeswax, and crushed flint minerality. On the palate, it is medium-to-full-bodied with a smooth, satiny texture, balanced by vibrant natural acidity that leads into a crisp, persistent, citrus-driven finish.
Food Pairing: Fresh oysters, pan-seared sea scallops, goat cheese crostini, grilled sea bass with lemon butter, or herb-roasted chicken breast.

The 2019 Carbonnieux Blanc has turned out very nicely, offering up aromas of citrus oil, pear, fresh herbs, clear honey and crisp stone fruit, followed by a medium-bodied, elegantly satiny and incisive palate that's bright and precise, concluding with a saline finish. Bottled under Diam, this is already showing well in a tangy, Sauvignon-driven style.

Has a nice chiseled feel, featuring sea salt, white asparagus and gooseberry notes, with a flash of oyster shell on the finish. This should open up and broaden out with brief cellaring. Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Drink now through 2024.
