About the Cesare Bussolo Barolo La Serra 2020 750ml
A new addition to Cesare Bussolo’s selection of wines, first vintage and among the new releases for 2020, Barolo La Serra is another masterpiece from this talented Langa boy. A vineyard considered among the most prestigious in the La Morra area, made famous by Roberto Voerzio in the 1990s, it is a fully south-facing slope with a sandy and marly composition from which wines of unique finesse and rough tannins are obtained. It is a high-density vineyard with 8000 vines per hectare in which about 1 kg of grapes per plant are harvested after numerous selections, producing 2500 bottles. Spontaneous fermentations both alcoholic and malolactic in steel tanks with subsequent aging in small barrels for 24 months. A wine that reflects its provenance as sensations but amplified by the winning mentality of its creator, notes of fruit and spices with toasted nuances, on the palate it is forthright and elegant with a matrix of great personality but enlightening drinkability. Cesare, you’ve done it again!
