About the Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseur's Choice Fettercairn 2007 Cask 17602204
Gordon & MacPhail Connoisseur's Choice Fettercairn 2007 Cask 17602204 is an exceptional single cask Highland single malt Scotch whisky distilled at the Fettercairn Distillery. Distilled in 2007 and aged for 17 years in a refill American oak hogshead cask, it was bottled at a natural cask strength of 58.4% ABV by legendary independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail for their prestigious Connoisseurs Choice range.
Food Pairing: Pan-seared scallops with lemon-butter glaze, coconut-crusted shrimp, roasted pork tenderloin with apple chutney, or mild creamy cheeses like Brie and goat cheese.
Tasting Notes : Bright golden amber in color with a full-bodied, rich, and oily mouthfeel.
Nose : Waxy lemon peel, ripe tropical fruit, subtle coconut, and malted biscuit.
Palate : Sweet and creamy with fresh lime, mango, and ripe pineapple balanced by cracked black pepper and subtle oak spice.
Finish : Long, warm, and spicy with lingering tropical fruits, subtle cocoa powder, and soft charred oak.
Serve : Serve neat at room temperature in a Glencairn or tulip tasting glass, or add a few drops of water to open up the vibrant tropical fruit notes and temper the cask strength.
